The Secret Life of Animals
‘Relax’ by Cheri McEachin
There is no doubt in my mind that Cheri is an animal-whisperer. Her ability to capture the subtle expressions of animals with her close up portraits is amazing. Every crease, line and fold is carefully taken into account in her photos. The eye-catching details, from glowing eyes to tiny feathers you can almost hear rustling, transport the audience from a browsing voeyeur to an engaged participant in the animal’s thoughts and feelings.

Home Sweet Home
I love the rustic quality of early Australian architecture – so much character packed within four humble walls. Paul Louis Villani’s series of early Australian homes is truly beautiful. From the angles he shoots, and the editing he applies, he manages to capture the soul and history of each home in such a warm and inviting way.

The Art of Melting Layers
Emerging
If ever there was an artist who enjoys using textures, it is Thomas Dodd. His images, which are beautiful and evocative, show great understanding of Photoshop and its tools. While he would prefer to be considered a photographer, using all his own images, he shows great flair for manipulation and digital art.

More than just a photo…
…this image of Tiffany Dryburgh’s conjures up a story all on it’s own. It’s not merely a photograph of some pretty pink flowers gently bowing toward the sun, the white picket fence standing brightly in the background. It is so much more, I even wrote a brief piece about this photograph when I first came across it on RedBubble, found here.
