Spring And Summer Handbag Trend Is Perforated Leather

After visiting multiple showrooms this past fall the Handbag Trends for Spring 2010 were clear. One of the biggest trends is perforated leather. We saw this being used by Rebecca Minkoff, previewed it with YSL, Gucci bags and Prada is implementing perforated leather for many of their bags.

For Spring 2010 expect to see perforated leather from Louis vuitton handbags , to Jimmy Choo, to Burberry, to Bottega Veneta. Prada’s perforated leather has an extremely sporty vibe which is largely due in part to the shape of the bags they are using it on While Prada’s look is very sporty, we have an array of designers using perforated leather in various ways to give the bags a fresh spring look.

One of my favorite from the bunch is the Bottega Veneta Woven-Trim Perforated Hobo, which features perforated ivory leather. From the look of this bag the perforated leather adds a detail that almost appears as if the bag is made of ostrich skin from afar

Jimmy Choo has really done a beautiful job with their perforated leather bags. We have already covered their Martha Perforated Clutch, which infuses perforated leather with smooth leather as well. Then they have the Bree Perforated Nappa Leather Tote along with the Fracine Perforated Leather wallet, both favorites of mine.

Martha Clutch Bree Perforated Nappa Leather Tote Francine Wallet The type of perforation varies by designer. Some are uses larger holes while others are using more uniform small holes. There are also options for bags that only feature perforation in certain spots but not all over. When it comes down to it, adding a perforated leather bag to your collection may be trendy for Spring 2010, but if you choose wisely you may find a bag that works in your collection forever.

Buying New Lights For Your Family Home is Exciting But Do Think Seriously About Your Choices

Finding the right lights for your home is something that requires thought. You don’t want to rush into something like this so it’s a good idea to scope the web to find all the best options available to you. Lights are a central aspect of your home so it’s a good idea to ensure that you get it right first time. There’s nothing worse than dull and boring rooms in a home – a bit of light goes a long way these days.

Finding the best quality options may require you to consider designer lights for your home. These will cost more, obviously, but they are sometimes really worth it and depending on what you buy, it doesn’t have to cost that much more than ordinary lights. Stores like B&Q and Homebase offer a range of lights and designer lights for you to choose from but it’s better to shop online really.

On the internet, you’ll have access to a much larger range of products and usually, because the market is more competitive, the prices will be much lower as well. This means you’re more likely to get a good deal if you shop on the web than if you shop on the high street – having said that, there’s no harm in looking.

Checking the market and comparing prices is the best way to get a good deal. Lights are no exception to this rule so it’s worth looking in a range of stores both online and offline to find what you need. You may also want to use the high street stores to get a feel for the styles that you like – you can then buy online later.

Lights come in a variety of shapes, styles and colours these days. Table lamps, wall lights, chandeliers and dimmer lights are all widely available these days. Just be sure to consider modern lights before older styles – they are more likely to fill your home with the proper amount of light.

Just remember that mood lighting is an option as well so if you don’t want to flood light your living room, consider dimmer switches and lamps to create a quiet and warm feel. Doing your research is the most important part of shopping online so don’t be tempted to skip this step.

Expert Kiera D Peacock talks about finding lights on the internet. www.lighting-by-gabrielli.co.uk has a vast range of options and information available, you will easily find what you’ve been looking for.

Portrait Photography: Basic Information

A portrait, also called a portraiture, is a picture that centers on a person or small group’s facial expression while they are in a still position. The person or group’s personalities, moods & likeness emerge out. Aside from the face, portrait photography can also show the whole body and the background of the subject. The person or group is usually looking straight at the camera in a portrait photograph.

Non-professional models are used for portrait photography, unlike other styles of photography. Graduations, special events and weddings are types of occasions where portrait photography is used, and later displayed in private homes. Many are done on studio with several backgrounds to select from.

The History of Portrait Photography

Ever since the camera was invented people have been using portrait photography. Having your portrait painted was expensive & not as available. People would sit against a background and were lit with natural light from a window. With technology evolving photographers have the power to take pictures with less exposure time allowing them more freedom to move around and create new styles of portrait photography.

Portrait Photography Trends

Portrait photographs can be done in a studio where the photographer can adjust the light when capturing portraits. They can change the direction and the intensity. Different lighting terms are fill lights, background lights, kicker lights & the main light.

The most important source of light is obviously known as the main light. The main light is generally positioned above or below the subject and at a 45 degree angle. The main light can create shadows so the fill light helps to eliminate them. The light that brightens up the hair of the subject is the kicker light. This will help to add depth and to show the separation from the subject & the background. To add effects to the backdrops the background light is used to brighten up the background.
